Location & getting there

The Short Course is located at 5445 E. Lincoln Drive, Paradise Valley, Arizona 85253 — in the shadow of Camelback Mountain and a short drive from both Scottsdale and Phoenix. Paradise Valley sits between the two, so it’s easy to reach from most Scottsdale-area lodging and from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

Tee times

Book tee times directly through the official course or resort. In the cooler peak months, popular Scottsdale-area tee times fill up well in advance, so plan ahead. We don’t handle bookings and aren’t affiliated with the course — we simply point you to the official source.

Rentals & equipment

Rental clubs are generally available at the course for a fee, and policies can differ for registered resort guests. Confirm current rental pricing, availability of right-/left-handed and junior sets, and whether balls are included when you book. Because it’s a short course, expect a practice putting and chipping area rather than a full driving range.

Pace of play

This is one of the format’s biggest draws: most golfers complete all 18 holes in under three hours, and nine holes in around 90 minutes. It’s an easy round to fit around other plans.

Attire

Standard resort-golf attire is a safe choice. Dress codes can change, so check the current policy with the course if you’re unsure what’s expected.

Walking, push carts & golf carts

The Short Course is very walkable, and many players walk it. Push carts and golf carts are typically available for a per-person fee, and there may be a minimum age to drive a cart. Confirm the current options and fees with the course.

Food & drink

There’s an on-site patio and lounge where golfers can grab food and a drink before or after a round. The wider resort also has additional dining; check current hours directly.

Weather & best times to play

Arizona’s peak golf season runs roughly from late October through April, with comfortable daytime highs in the 60s to low 80s°F. Summer (June–September) is hot — often well over 100°F — but greens fees tend to drop and early-morning tee times are very playable. Whenever you go, bring water, sunscreen, and a hat. Parking
